ABN Amro Mellon Wins GBP 1 Billion North Yorkshire Pension Fund Mandate

ABN AMRO Mellon Global Securities Services has been selected by The North Yorkshire Pension Fund to provide custody, investment accounting (SORP) and performance measurement services for assets totaling £1 billion (Euro 1.45 billion).

The decision to appoint ABN AMRO Mellon was taken following a six-month selection process. The fund had hired consultants Thomas Murray to conduct a formal review.

"ABN AMRO Mellon's extensive accounting and performance reporting suite was a major factor in our decision, as was the enthusiasm displayed by the ABN AMRO Mellon team during the RFP process," says Neil Sellstrom, Principal Accountant at North Yorkshire County Council.

Nadine Chakar, CEO of ABN AMRO Mellon, says she is "delighted that another major UK local authority has selected us as their custodian."
