Thomas Murray helps institutional investors, asset managers and other participants in the international capital markets identify and manage post trade risks and monitor the performance of third party service providers in both the traditional and the alternative asset management sectors.
Founded in 1994, Thomas Murray is staffed by over forty experienced professionals from global custody, asset management, ratings, banking, consulting and capital markets backgrounds. Thomas Murray has also opened offices in North America and Australia to better serve our clients in those countries.
Thomas Murray is majority owned by its directors and staff with the remaining shareholdings being owned by a group of institutional and private shareholders.

Simon Thomas
Chief Executive Officer
 Simon Thomas Simon is considered to be one of the leading experts on the global securities services industry.
He started his career with Coopers & Lybrand as a chartered accountant, and spent four years with S.G. Warburg before spending five years with KPMG Management Consultants managing the securities and investment consultancy business. Prior to co-founding Thomas Murray he spent three years as an Executive Director of Davis International Banking Consultants, specialising in strategic bank consulting and primary research into the banking industry.
Derek Duggan
Director, Data Services
 Derek Duggan Derek has been with Thomas Murray since the foundation of the company in 1994. He is Head of the Data Services business of Thomas Murray. This involves sales of Thomas Murray's Custody & Settlement Infrastructural Risk Ratings, Depository Service Risk Assessments and Securities Market Profiles which assist institutional investors in managing their local market risk exposure. He also sells these services, including the web delivery tools, in White Labelled form to numerous broker/dealers, investment banks, custodians and other financial groups globally. Prior to joining Thomas Murray, Derek was head of Euromoney's Global Research business where he managed major industry syndicated studies and published research reports in the legal and financial services area, having previously held positions at IFR Publishing.
Joanne Parker
Director, Investor Advisory Services
 Joanne Parker Joanne's extensive experience in domestic and international securities operations and custody, allows her to assist institutional clients to secure and maintain best market practice positions from their global custodians. Since joining Thomas Murray in early 2000, Joanne has led substantial reviews in Europe and is responsible for monitoring the custody arrangements of many of the largest UK institutional investors through Thomas Murray's online RFPs and consultancy.
Prior to joining Thomas Murray, Joanne spent nine years working for global custodians in various roles including securities operations, network management, securities product development and management, and sales.
Roger Fishwick
Director, Ratings
 Roger Fishwick Roger joined Thomas Murray from Prudential Portfolio Managers where he was Group Treasurer, responsible for the back office, treasury and securities lending functions of the investment management subsidiary of Prudential plc. Roger was central to PPM projects to reselect its global custodian, outsource UK custody, centralise its futures clearing and integrate Scottish Amicable Investment Managers, redevelop its entire systems platform and develop the investment accounting and reporting infrastructure.
Prior to joining Thomas Murray in Jan 2000, Roger spent 10 years in the oil sector, where he qualified as an accountant and joined the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
Nick Bradley
Director, Custodian Monitoring
 Nick Bradley Prior to joining Thomas Murray, Nick was a Managing Director with Standard & Poor’s from 1993 to 2006 where he was European Practice Leader for the Fund Ratings & Research Group and Standard & Poor’s Governance Services.
Prior to Standard & Poor’s, Nick held a number of progressively senior corporate and investment banking positions with leading international banks including Lloyds Bank, BancBoston, Bank of America and Credit Agricole.
Tim Reucroft
Director, Research
 Tim Reucroft Tim is an expert in capital market infrastructures with a particular emphasis on clearing and settlement. He joined Thomas Murray in January 2001 conducting research and risk analysis of the European securities markets. He now heads up TM’s Overseas Advisory Service helping countries modernise their capital markets by benefiting from the experiences of consolidation, harmonisation and best market practices derived from Western Europe. He has advised on the infrastructures in Russia, Ukraine, Poland and South Africa.
Previously, Tim worked for Capco and KPMG as a consultant, Salomon Brothers as Head of Derivative Operations in London and at LIFFE where he was Head of Compliance.
John Woodhouse
Director, Capital Markets Group
 John Woodhouse John joined Thomas Murray in February 2001 as director with responsibility for research and risk analysis in the Asia Pacific securities market. In his current role for Thomas Murray, he is responsible for the Capital Market Group which provides assessments on CSDs and capital market infrastructure as well as providing securities market information. A key output is the CSD public ratings. In his role he maintains close liaison with depositories, clearing houses, regulators and various custodial banks.
Prior to joining Thomas Murray, John had worked for the Reserve Bank of New Zealand as a part of the senior management team that reported to the Governor of the central bank and had been a director of the New Zealand Central Securities Depository (NZCSD).
Arti Sharma
Senior Vice President, Business Development and Relationship Management for Thomas Murray North America Inc.
Prior to joining Thomas Murray in 2006, Arti was Executive Director of Business Development with CIBC Mellon. She has extensive experience in building strategic relationships and identifying mutually beneficial opportunities. Arti has worked in the custody industry for many years and brings a wealth of experience to her role with Thomas Murray in the area of Relationship Management, Product Management and Business Development. Prior to CIBC Mellon, Arti was Assistant European Treasurer at Engelhard Corporation in the UK.
